3-4:30PM | Bourbon and the Blue Ridge – Delve into the fascinating history of bourbon in Appalachia while learning to make three delicious bourbon cocktails.
4-6PM | Thanksgiving Great Hall Gathering – Join us in the Lodge’s Great Hall for live music and cocktails ahead of Thanksgiving.

Thursday, November 26 | Thanksgiving Day
8:30AM -12PM | Thanksgiving Day Parade – Experience the magic of the Thanksgiving Day Parade from the comfort of Primland’s Lodge in the theater.

4-6PM | Moonshine Tales – Savor Moonshine cocktails and flights, learn about the rich history of the moonshine trade, which was active on Primland’s land, and learn from our homegrown storytellers about a central part of Appalachian culture while enjoying live Bluegrass music.
4-5:30PM | Solstice Sunset Ornament Making Workshops – Pay homage to the shortest days of the year by making your very own winter solstice-inspired ornaments. Using natural supplies harvested on property, create memories for your tree with our astronomers at sunset from the panoramic Observatory. Wind the Observatory’s spiral staircase afterward for a twilight tour of the crisp winter sky.

9-11AM | Guided RTV Excursion – Discover panoramas that showcase the natural beauty of the Appalachian region on a morning RTV adventure.
