11 Days Connected Adventure
Itinerary Highlights
Auberge Safari is driven by exceptional experiences underpinned by a strong conservation ethos. Our Connected Adventure itinerary charts a course across the diverse landscapes of the northern Tanzanian safari circuit.
Day 1 | Legendary Lodge, Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), enjoy a complimentary road transfer to Legendary Lodge, a timeless sanctuary nestled within the tropical gardens of a historical coffee plantation on the outskirts of Arusha. The garden cottages offer a secluded haven from which to prepare for your safari. You may choose to relax around our plunge pool, or be more active and embark on a custom coffee tasting, aerial tour of Mt. Kilimanjaro, or visit Arusha National Park. Back at the lodge, feast on a sumptuous three-course dinner on the veranda, then gather around a crackling fire with a snifter of brandy. After a deep sleep, you will wake up to birdsong, reinvigorated and ready to head on to the next step of your journey.
Day 2 | Chem Chem Lodge, Burunge WMA
Enjoy a complimentary road transfer to Chem Chem Lodge—bordering Tarangire National Park—a distinguished, luxurious property where the ethos of a ‘slow safari’ was born. Each of its secluded tented suites overlook the palm-fringed plains, with palettes and textures imitating the natural beauty beyond.
Day 3 | Chem Chem Lodge, Burunge WMA
Chem Chem Lodge celebrates the richness of the Maasai culture, and now is your opportunity to discover the wilderness through the eyes of those who have lived and breathed it for centuries. Walk or even run through the wild alongside a Maasai warrior or explore local village life. Spend one of your evenings enjoying a scenic sundowner experience on the edge of Lake Manyara.
Day 4 | Chem Chem Lodge, Burunge WMA
As you embrace a slower pace, even the simplest moments become lasting memories. Make the most of your time here with restorative spa treatments, tranquil hours by the pool, or a silent walk that invites you to awaken your senses and connect more deeply with the land.
Day 5 | Mila, Western Serengeti
Your complimentary flight journey takes you to the remote region of Nyasirori in the western corridor of the Serengeti, where Mila awaits. Settle into a sublimely comfortable tented camp experience, immersing yourself into the seemingly endless plains and rich sunsets this African landscape offers.
Day 6 | Mila, Western Serengeti
The area surrounding Mila is known for its year-round wildlife experience, boasting some of the country's largest lion prides. With your dedicated guide and vehicle, this wilderness is yours to explore at your own pace.
Day 7 | Mila, Western Serengeti
Spend your last day at Mila at the pace of the wild. Perhaps head out for another game drive through the plains or linger around camp as you watch the wildlife grazing and roaming past. Soaring above the Serengeti in a hot-air balloon is also available as an optional extra. For your final night, enjoy a spectacular sundowner with the western Serengeti as your backdrop.
