Your Journey

Embark on a safari that's truly out of the ordinary. One where refined comfort meets a strong conservation ethos, and where unscripted adventure is complemented by an unhurried pace and completely bespoke service. Providing the very best that northern Tanzania has to offer, with access to large tracts of unspoiled wilderness, a dedicated vehicle, and a private guide, you have complete freedom to follow where nature leads and curate your experience to your own preferences. Prepare for an inspired journey that’s purely personal and utterly unequalled.

Day 1 | Legendary Lodge, Arusha, Tanzania

Your journey begins at Legendary Lodge, set within a historic coffee estate on the outskirts of Arusha. Here, sprawling tropical gardens offer a quiet refuge to recharge ahead of your safari — unwind in your private cottage, enjoy your first taste of our exceptional cuisine, and let the pace of Africa begin to take hold.

Day 2 | Little Chem Chem, Burunge WMA

Step into the wild at Little Chem Chem, a vintage-style camp on the edge of the open plains. Here, big game country unfolds at your doorstep — yours to explore with your private guide and vehicle. Sand pathways wind between canvas tents, the plains bursting with wildlife just beyond and at night, lantern-lit dinners beneath a blanket of stars.

Day 3 | Little Chem Chem, Burunge WMA

Head out with your guide into the exclusive-use wildlife area, where big tuskers move through the bush and lions rest draped among the branches of trees. A visit to a local Maasai village offers a different kind of discovery — ancient traditions and a way of life as much a part of this landscape as the wildlife itself.

Day 4 | Little Chem Chem, Burunge WMA

In the spirit of the Slow Safari, your days are your own. Savor the gentle transitions — breakfast becomes poolside relaxation as wildlife wanders past, an afternoon drive becomes sundowners on the Sangaiwe Plains. Raise a toast to the day as the spectacle shifts from land to sky in a flourish of color.

Day 5 | Mila, Western Serengeti

The next leg of your journey takes you to the remote Nyasirori — one of the Serengeti's best-kept secrets. At Mila, canvas unfolds at the cusp of the golden plains and time-honored safari traditions take hold. Here, far from the bustle of the park’s busier regions, you feel at one with the wild.

Day 6 | Mila, Western Serengeti

At Mila, you're in lion country, with some of the region's largest prides at your doorstep. Here, adventure takes on many forms: a game drive at first light in search of big cats settling down to sleep in the grasses, a walking safari that reveals what the vehicle misses, or a hot-air balloon ride over the plains as the sun climbs the sky — available at an additional cost.

Day 7 | Mila, Western Serengeti

Your last day at Mila unfolds at the pace of the wild. Morning coffee arrives with the birds' chorus, giving way to meandering explorations through the teeming plains. Lunch is an opportunity to linger — good food, drinks and laughter around the table. And, as the sun dips, raise a toast to the day and everything the wild has shown you.
