Northern Serengeti
Nyasi and Songa
In the northern reaches of the Serengeti, vast plains of tall and short grasses stretch between acacia woodlands, rocky outcrops, and elevated plateaus. Meandering through it all, the Mara River — flowing south from the Maasai Mara — draws the Great Migration's herds to its banks season after season. This is the home of Nyasi and Songa, two unique vantage points for one of Africa's most dramatic wildlife spectacles.
